Get the Family Prepped for School with These Tips
Parents, school season is almost in full swing. Are you ready?
As always, the summer flies back too quickly. While the summer was full of fun, bouncing children, and long nights, it's time to settle back down for the upcoming school year. In a blink of an eye, we're back to the school routine and nightly homework. Set your child (and yourself) up for success by getting ready for school before the first day approaches. Here are some tips to get you started. Set a sleep routine Before your child has to go back to school, get them into the routine of going to bed and waking up at the right time. Ensuring that they get nine to eleven hours of sleep every night is part of your duty to setting them up for success.- Avoid serving big dinners close to bedtime as this can hinder their chance to fall asleep.
- Set a regular bedtime and enforce it a week before school starts.
- Limit video games and T.V. watching before bedtime as this can be too stimulating.
